Can I Request the Relocation of My Electricity Supply Connection?

Relocating an electricity supply connection or meter requires the applicant to submit a relevant application to DEDDIE (Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator), together with the property owner's consent, provided through a solemn declaration.

In many cases, particularly in older properties, agricultural plots, building lots, and locations with limited accessibility, relocating the electricity supply connection may be necessary.

The process for relocating an electricity supply connection or meter at a property involves the following steps:

  • Application Submission: The applicant submits a relocation request to the relevant DEDDIE customer service office, together with the property owner's consent, certified through a solemn declaration under Greek Law 1599/1986.
  • Payment of the Relevant Costs: Payment is required for the relocation of the electricity supply connection or meter. The cost depends on the nature and complexity of the work involved.
  • Submission of the Electrical Installation Certificate (YDE): To complete the process, the applicant must submit an Electrical Installation Certificate (YDE), issued by a licensed electrician, officially confirming that the electrical installation meets the applicable safety requirements.
